Nu Creatives client is a music startup that runs an online service for DJs and music lovers. The platform gives DJs the possibility to store and market themselves and their music mixes. And at the same time, music consumers can choose among these mixes (an activity that could be described as somewhere between radio and track on demand). The platform is also built to support other usage, such as music solutions for global brands. This is a growing company with lots of things in the loop, and we are now looking to support their growth by finding several new web developers to join the team.

Web Developer at one of Sweden's Music start-ups

We are looking for talented web developers to join the Stockholm-based team. You should be experienced but hungry, results-oriented and passionate about working on an advanced technical product. They use the Microsoft stack, ASP.NET MVC and SQL Server, and all the standard tools.

The product is an online platform where you can listen to music mixes as well as upload, share and promote your own music mixes. The people behind this startup spend a lot of their hours awake listening to, or interacting with music. Some of them dj, when not writing code, others just love discovering new music, sharing it and giving new life to old tracks by mixing them up.

The Job

• Building an advanced web application. They'll fit you to your strengths, but the range of work is wide. Most of your time will be on web development and technical strategies.
• Deliver - quickly and efficiently. They appreciate pretty code and elegant solutions a lot, but love results even more.
• You'll be a part of the planning and strategy of the product.
• Wear many hats - you'll listen to customers, roadmap features, make technical decisions, get things done, etc.
• Champion an engineering culture of customer-driven products, efficiency and innovation.
• Find, develop and handle supplier contracts.

Requirements

• Excellent .NET knowledge.
• Experience from ASP.NET MVC, IIS, SQL Server, etc.
• Strong quality focus.
• Excellent English level.

Extra Credit

• Knowledge of PHP / MySQL.
• Experience from scaling tactics, caching strategies and DB maintenance.
• Experience from streaming and storage solutions (RTMP, Amazon Web Services such as S3/CloudFront/EC2).
• Experience from a startup or a similarily agile company.
• Experience from community and/or music oriented products.
• Active in the community - real life, open source, etc.
