SR ART DIRECTOR FOR ONLINE MARKET LEADER

Nu Creatives client is a marketleader within it's field. The office is located in central Stockholm. We are now looking for a strategic Sr Art Director to join their team.

The Job

The Art Director is in charge of the overall visual appearance of the companies online production. How it communicates visually, creates moods, contrasts features, and psychologically appeals to a target audience. The Art Director makes decisions about visual elements used and what artistic style to use. In short, the Art Director is the decision-maker who is responsible for the graphical quality of all content created.

 Based on the target group / audience, the Art Director is responsible for leading the creative process of graphical design and for creating a visual design document that communicates the graphical theme, style and potentially other graphical requirements. This includes e.g. Colour Schemes, Screen dumps, Graphical references (sketches or photos) or whatever is necessary to communicate these requirements. The Art Director shall invite graphic designers to take an active part in the high level design process to ensure maximum commitment of the design and that the graphical vision has been understood. The Art Director shall on an ongoing basis supervise and guide the graphic designers to ensure that vision, guidelines and requirements are followed.

The Art Director is responsible for the graphic strategy. Included, but not limited to; giving guidance to Graphic Team lead on what graphic techniques to use, analyse performance of graphical themes and colour schemes, set graphical standards etc.

 
Experience and skills

We are looking for a person with several years' experience from digital art direction and/or creative direction. You have passed the stage where design and graphics is something personal, and thus you have the ability to take visuals to a strategic level, bearing the audience and ROI in mind. You need to be a good leader and visionary. You need to be great at planning and prioritising as well as being proactive and forward-looking. You also need to be competitive and enjoy creating visually marketleading productions. Although we think you have a strong portfolio and great graphic talents, you need to be able to let go of details and leave those to the talented team of graphic designers to thrive on. Your approach is holistic, competitive, ahead, strategic and professional. You need to speak and write Swedish and English on a high level.
